Dr. Sonali Bhadoria – Application Systems Analyst, North Carolina Health Information Exchange Authority, has been contributing to Health Analytics & External Services since April 2023. She plays a key role in leveraging NC HealthConnex data to support a range of statewide initiatives including chronic disease registries (such as the Stroke Registry), Medicaid initiatives, and public health use cases transforming complex healthcare data into meaningful insights that drive population health strategies.
With 18 years in academia specializing in engineering with a strong emphasis on statistics and informatics, Dr. Bhadoria holds a Doctorate for designing a Computer-Aided Detection (CAD) system for breast cancer. Her PhD research focused on Medical Imaging, applying mathematical modeling, machine learning, and pattern-matching algorithms to create a content-based image retrieval system that delivers highly accurate diagnostic support.
She brings a strong foundation in data-driven, actionable analytics, combining academic rigor with real-world problem-solving to produce insights that improve healthcare outcomes and inform strategic decision-making.
